What's Going on
SUNDAY:
We meet each week at 9:00 a.m. for Bible study in the Summit (Junior High Student Ministry room) with students from all over the Odessa area. We begin the time by hanging out and having some donuts with old friends, new friends and some of the "Greatest Youth Workers in the West!" Then, we break up into smaller groups, according to school grade, and have the opportunity to study and learn about the Bible and the timeless truths that are applicable to ur lives...still!
When we finish with Bible study we gather for our morning worship service where all of our Junior High and Senior High students worship together. This worship service provides a tremendous opportunity to worship with people from one end of the age spectrum to the other. It is upbeat, practical and helpful in dealing with issues people face in the 21st century.
WEDNESDAY:
Our Wednesday evenings are a great time of fellowship, food, friends and fun! On Wednesdays, we again gather up in the Summit. This time starts with food (nachos, hotdogs, chili pie, etc.) at 6:00 p.m. Then about 6:30 we all gather up and play a game or two, just for fun, and to help everyone have the opportunity to get to know each other since we have so many different school campuses represented. This is all followed by an interactive Bible study time with everything concluding by 7:30 p.m. You will not want to miss this time! Come and join us...you'll be glad you did!
Trips/Events:
There is always something going on in the Junior High Student Ministry. Throughout the year we have many trips and events, but some of these that happen on a regular basis are trips to see the Odessa Jackalopes, Midland Rockhounds, bowling, Friday-Night-Fellowships and many more. Each year we have a Disciple Now weekend, Summer Camp, Choir Trip and several mission opportunities. As you can see...there is a lot going on with the Junior High Student Ministry at FBC! The only thing missing is ... you!
