So you're interested in missions right

here in North America. The North

American Mission Board (NAMB)

places all the United States and

Canada into our Samaria. Below

are listed the areas that our church

will serve in 2010.

Sports Camp Trip - Duck Lake Canada

Trip Dates: February 13-20, 2010

This February FBC Odessa and several other

churches will be off the the great north to host

an Xtreme Sports camp for the Duck Lake ISD.

This event is the first of its kind with this

community. God is opening doors and building

bridges as we seek to further his kingdom. In

August and October of 2009 teams from First

Baptist led several to a saving relationship with Christ and now we are returning to form

these believers into a church body. The sports camp will be held at the school

gymnasium and we will work with 1st-12th graders in basketball and volleyball.

Canada Summer Trip

Trip #1-- July 23- July 31

Trip #2-- July 30- August 7

To further our partnership with Scarborough Baptist

Church and to help fulfill our missions vision found in

Acts 1:8, we have are planning a two weeks of missions

in and around Duck Lake. As part of this unique

opportunity, you have the choice of choosing how you

want to be involved and for how long. We will be

serving in several venues and doing things like

construction, backyard bible clubs, working in the First

Nation reservations (Native Americans) and so much more.

We will need teams and families to stay forseven days or the whole two weeks. This is a great

chance for families to do missions together.

Please begin to pray and see where

God might have you to join in on this

new missions adventure. Pray

specifically for the community of

Duck Lake. It is in this town of 3000

that we will assist Scarborough Baptist

in beginning its first protestant work.

In this town, there are only a few known

Christians. It is our desire to

encourage these individuals to deepen

their own walk and grow this new

work.

$600 per person deposit due at the commitment meeting
