 So you're interested in going on a mission

 trip right here in our very own state of

 Texas.                                                                                      

 

 

 


 

     South Texas VBS/Construction Trip--Pharr

       Dates:  June 6-12, 2010 

-Individual/Family Trip-6yrs thru adult

The trip will be to Pharr, Texas which is in the Rio Grande Valley.  We will work with a local Baptist Church to help provide a VBS and also do some maintenance construction to its facilities.  The church is a growing community that is heavily attended by women and children.  We will lodge in family dorms at Melody Lane  Christian Retreat.  The trip is designed and purposed for families, children under 18 may attend only with a parent or guardian.  We will depart early Sunday morning and return mid Saturday around 3 PM.

Costs:  Costs are based on # of persons in each family and/or if they are willing to share motel rooms(ultimately rates are based on lodging).  Trip is completely inclusive concerning meals and lodging on Mon-Fri.  You are responsible for meals on Sunday, June 6th & Saturday June 12th.

Rates:

$300.00  + $50.00 per additonal family member

Important Dates:

April 14, 2009:  Informational Meeting 7:30 PM in First Cup Cafe.

May 3, 2009:  Commitment Meeting 7:30 PM in the First Cup Cafe.

$100.00 non-refundable deposit due per famliy on May 3rd.

Balance Due by May 16th.

     This Christmas First Baptist Church is once again working to spread Christmas cheer and more importantly the Gospel message of salvation to the poor along the Texas/ Mexico border.  Beginning in early November, we will collect ACTSBoxes and deliver them to a church in Mexico that will distribute them into needy portions of Mexico.
