Prayer

 

     The Intercessory Prayer Ministry is foundational to all that we are and do at First Baptist Church. Our Lord calls and commands every believer to pray. We are committed to do just that.

There are several venues to our Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Our worship services and Sunday school classes focus on opportunities to pray. On Wednesdays during our mid-week service we have a focused time of intercessory prayer.   In addition to this, we have a wonderful Intercessory Prayer Room Ministry staffed by people committed to one hour on a selected day of the week. Opportunities for involvement are open to any of our members. On each Sunday morning, 8:15-8:45 AM, many of our men gather in the Parlor to pray for the Sunday events. We call this ministry “100 Praying Men.” Currently we come together on Thursdays, 12-1 PM, in the worship center to pray for our nation, government leadership and spiritual revival in our nation.

     These are several of the venues our church is involved in through intercessory prayer. First Baptist Church is not limited to just these. Whenever and wherever our people gather for activities, ministries and programs, we pray. We invite you to be a part of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.
